Hello from Haiti! It has been a busy time here but we are having a great time. Worshipping here on Easter Sunday was wonderful! It should be an experience for everyone.
i have learned a lot here so far - for example, my college French is paying off. Creole has many shared words and I have been able to make conversation. Fun!
Here are some more first impressions:
The people call us blanc because it's true. We are very white and we stick out. Children love my skin and my hair!
Pedestrians do not have the right of way. If you hear a horn you move or get run over.
Most importantly, the people are wonderful and kind and are very open to Jesus. I look forward to a women's conference we are holding tomorrow. I will be singing and speaking there so your prayers are appreciated.
